Geospatial

AH brings the power of customized geospatial solutions to our clients to answer the question, "where?" No project would be complete without the ability to visualize infrastructure along with a clear and concise display of data in ways that words cannot convey. Our clients can quickly understand complex data relationships with our geospatial deliverables, and use that to make informed decisions

Geo-locating: AH assesses the requirements of the project and determines the most efficient method for acquiring geographical locations of assets. Applying a combination of hardware, AH extends the use of time-efficient AGPS technology to quickly collect coordinates. When high positional accuracy is required, AH deploys survey grade GNSS receivers, capable of 1/10-foot vertical accuracy. For medium accuracy, mapping grade GNSS (handheld) and range-pole mounted receivers can be used in conjunction with integrated hardware to provide laser precision distance measurement to remote assets.

Data collection: AH utilizes the latest available technology for mobile input devices and to control the quality of that data. Custom app-based software is developed for each project and is scaled to capture critical asset information of any magnitude. Our GIS analysts tailor the fieldwork database schema according to the client's own data model, and implement quality control measures within the database for accurate and complete data collection.

GIS data: Whether large data sets with tens of thousands of data points or small ones, AH has built a reputation for delivering reliable, quality data to our clients. AH GIS analysts achieve this by implementing a meticulous and efficient culture of data. AH can readily provide geodatabases for use in industry-standard GIS software according the client’s own data models and specifications, including SDSFIE and FDGC.

Maps: Cartography continues to be a skill practiced with pride at AH. The latest technologies and efficient workflows will provide clients with no benefits if they cannot be distilled into an easy-to-understand format. How the geographic information is displayed greatly contributes to the understanding of complex data and reports by users, editors, and regulators.
